brussels sprouts, trimmed and
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp Canadian maple syrup
To taste sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Add oil and brussels sprouts, cut side down in a single layer. Cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes uncovered. Season with salt and pepper and toss, cooking for another 3-4 minutes longer until tender, adding a splash of water if needed. Add maple syrup and toss to coat.
