Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts

Amanda Li • Aug 03, 2016

Brussels sprouts are a member of the cabbage family and can offer health promoting effects if eaten regularly. This recipe will soon become a family favourite. I eat them like candy :)

INGREDIENTS

1 lb brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
1 tbsp
olive oil
2 tbsp
Canadian maple syrup
To taste
sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper

PROCEDURE

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Add oil and brussels sprouts, cut side down in a single layer. Cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes uncovered. Season with salt and pepper and toss, cooking for another 3-4 minutes longer until tender, adding a splash of water if needed. Add maple syrup and toss to coat.
