At Wellness Simplified, we go beyond the consultation room and bring full circle the science of nutrition and everyday eating habits. Amanda will fully equip you with the knowledge and skills to effectively plan, shop and prepare meals that meet your unique health goals.
“Healthy Eating” goes beyond food alone. There is a strong body-mind-soul connection and how it relates to a person’s overall health. During the counselling process, Amanda will help you tune into your physical hunger and identify emotional triggers, environmental factors, and social cues that may be affecting your daily food habits and eating behaviours.  
Change can be frightening. Amanda is here to help you prepare for change and adopt sustainable lifestyle habits.

What you can Expect:
Visit 1 - Initial Consultation (1 hour)
This session involves a very thorough interview about your health goals, nutritional needs, lifestyle and eating habits, food preferences, food shopping/cooking knowledge and mealtime venues. Working together, we will establish two goals to work on until the follow-up appointment based on our discussion. Walk away feeling inspired, motivated and confident to make change.

Visit 2 - Personalized Nutrition Blueprint Debrief (1 hour)
Based on the nutritional assessment conducted in the first session, Amanda will create for you an individualized meal plan with specific ingredient recommendations, and recipes. The goal of this session is walk you through the blueprint, to ensure that you have a clear understanding of the proposed action plan. 

Visit 3 - Hands-On Cooking Class (2 hours) 
This hands-on cooking class is conducted in the comfort of your own kitchen. Amanda will guide you through 3 personalized recipes- each tailored to meet your nutritional goals - from start to finish with culinary tips and tricks along the way to help you make nourishing meals in a cinch!

Visit 4 and Beyond - Accountability Program (6-months)
Continual support and check-ins with Amanda via email, phone and text messaging. The goal is to recap, refocus and reinvigorate you to keep on track for achieving your health goals. Having accountability from a health professional ensures that you are successful in creating lifelong sustainable lifestyle habits. Additional hands-on cooking classes can be arranged.
Optional: Interactive Educational Shopping Tour (1 hour) 
A personalized guided store walk showcasing food ingredients that will assist you in achieving your nutritional goals and to make healthy eating the easier choice! Scheduled on the same visit as the hands-on cooking class so we can shop for the recipe ingredients at the same time.

Optional: Personalized Nutrition Genetic Testing 
We are now offering an exciting new service called Nutrigenomix - a simple non-invasive genetic test that consists of a panel of 45 genetic markers. Using a saliva sample, we will be able to provide you with a customized nutrition plan that are based on your unique genetic profile. The results of this test can impact weight loss and body composition, nutrient metabolism, and eating habits.
