This beautifully purple-coloured smoothie supports liver detoxification and is delicious for breakfast or an afternoon snack!
non-dairy milk of your choice
½ cup frozen chopped kale or spinach
¾ cup frozen blueberries
¼ cup raw beetroot
3 tbsp egg white or vegan vanilla protein powder
1 tbsp ground chia
1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
½ tbsp lemon zest
1 medjool date (optional; for those with sweeter palates)
In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth and creamy. If you prefer a thinner consistency, just blend in more milk or water.
